The Last Goodnight is a band formed American pop and rock in 1995 and from Enfield, Connecticut, until 2006 known as Renata. Their debut album with a major label, Poison Kiss, was released in the United States August 28, 2007. The first single, "Pictures of You," has had some success on radio around the world in 2007. In 2008 the band has edited a second single from the album "Stay Beautiful" and has embarked on a long tour around the world.

Despite the initial success, the end of 2008, Virgin Records decided not to renew the contract for the band, just as this was about to begin recording the new disc. After a brief period as independent, December 1, 2010 the singer Kurtis John has announced plans to leave the band to pursue a solo career in the company of guitarist Michael Nadeau, as reported on the new official website of the singer. At the moment it is not as yet know if the remaining band members will continue their activities as The Last Goodnight.
