Amy Jade Winehouse (born 14 September 1983) is a singer and songwriter of soul, jazz, and R & B from the UK. Debut album, Frank (2003) was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Winehouse is the winner of Ivor Novello Award twice: first in 2004 for his first single "Stronger Than Me" and the second in 2007 for the single "Rehab". On February 14, 2007, she won a BRIT Award for Best British Female Artist.

Winehouse was born in Southgate, London, from Mitchell's father and mother Janis Winehouse. At the age of 10 he founded the rap duo of Sweet 'n' Sour. He learned guitar at age 13. When he was 16, he began singing professionally after her friend, Tyler James, gave a demo tape to an A & R. He dikotrak by Island / Universal, under management owned by Simon Fuller's 19 Management.
